Do you use AI in your writing or art?
Short answer: NO.
Long answer: Noooooooooooooo.
Longer, more detailed answer: Never ever. All three of us behind Rebelle disdain generative AI. It steals from artists and creators and is poisoning our planet.
You refer to yourself as “we” a lot. What’s up with that?
We’re actually three friends who have a lot of industry experience under our belts who have decided we want to have fun writing together under a pen name! You can learn more about the three women behind the pen name here.
Who actually writes the books?
We all do! We all have our own books, though. So likely you won’t see us collaborating on a single book through the writing (beyond idea phase or feedback afterward). We each do our separate things there.
That would usually be me, the same person who put together the website (Adrienne)! Sloan occasionally jumps in to share the love and make some posts with news updates. Riley is a bit more shy! I also make all the graphics for social media.
Who runs your socials?
Describe your books to me. What can I expect?
One of the reasons we joined together under one pen name is that the three of us all have similar outlooks on life, on storytelling, and on what we want to portray through our work. So there shouldn’t be a jarring difference in topic, theme, or feel from book to book, even with separate writers.
We love to incorporate themes about community, healing, and overcoming hardships together. Our books feature plentiful representation of all walks of life, as we are a diverse group of writers and believe everyone deserves to see themselves on the page and have their happily-ever-after. Sloan is Indigenous and her stories will often be Indigenously-led. Adrienne is queer and writes a spectrum of pairings and identities.
Most of our books will be MF (male/female) relationships, but we’ll also have some that are MM, FF, and more. We’ll always write paranormal, so expect lots of magic, mischief, and uncovering secrets hidden just beyond the veil of our typical world.
